Reporting Season Brings Updated ACA 6056 Tools

The turn of the calendar brings the beginning of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Section 6056 reporting season. Very simply put, Applicable Large Employers (ALEs) – those with 50+ Full Time (FT) + Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Employees – must report on the coverage offered (or not offered) to FT employees and dependents for the 2016 tax year.

Our updated ACA Compliance Toolkit gives brokers valuable information to support ACA 6056 reporting in 2017 for the 2016 tax year.

We plan to release complimentary Member-Level-Rated Employer Reporting Data sheets to brokers in early February, for all groups sold through Word & Brown. These sheets give employers the employee-only premium of the lowest cost plan offered with minimum value – a critical piece of information needed for ACA employer reporting. In the meantime, employers can use Word & Brown’s exclusive Affordability Calculator to determine the cost amounts using gross rates for their group, if they’d like. Check out the revamped Affordability Calculator for California in the Health Reform Resource Center (HRRC) or the revamped Affordability Calculator for Nevada.

ALEs with sold cases through Word & Brown with composite rates (101+ in California and 51+ in Nevada) have the Employer Reporting Data sheets available to them now, just as they did last year.

We have much more available for ACA compliance and reporting in 2017.  Stay tuned to our Newsroom for more resources, or contact your Word & Brown representative for more information.

ACA Compliance Collateral and Resources are available to Word & Brown brokers 24/7 in the online Compliance Resource Center on the California website and Nevada website.
