Word & Brown and Oscar are excited to announce Oscar’s 2017 appointment process is now open.
If you were appointed with Oscar last year, you should have received an email with instructions from Oscar on how to renew your appointment. If you can’t find that email, please send an email to appointments@hioscar.com.
Please make sure to have a scanned copy of your Errors & Omissions (E&O) information ready to upload. Oscar does require a minimum of $1 million aggregate and $1 million per incident of E&O coverage.
If you plan on assigning your compensation to an agency, please have the agency’s Tax Identification Number (TIN) and National Producer Number (NPN) handy as well. If you don’t have it, don’t worry! You can always login and update it later.
Begin your new 2017 Oscar appointment process by following these steps:
1) Please visit www.SentinelElite.com
2) Click “Register as an Agent” and…
a. Enter your Social Security Number
b. Enter Word & Brown’s Registration Code: 17OscarWB
c. Enter your demographic information on the left hand side of the page
d. Create a username, password, and security question on the right side of the page
3) You will then arrive at the Sentinel Elite dashboard
a. Click the “New” tab
b. Click the “Start Now” button next to “2017 Oscar New Agent Certification”
c. Locate the refresh icon above the “Register” tab
-Click the refresh icon
-Click the “In-Progress” tab
-If “2017 Oscar New Agent Certification” does not appear click the refresh icon again
-Return to the “In-Progress tab and click the word “Welcome” (in red text) next to “2017 Oscar New Agent Certification”
d. Complete your 2017 New Agent Program
e. Once you complete the New Agent Program Certification, you are not finished. You must also complete the Annual Certification and any agent and agency state-specific programs
f. To access these other programs:
-Complete your current program
-Close the browser window and return to your dashboard
-Click the “In-Progress” tab (new programs will appear here)
-If your other programs have not appeared, please click the refresh icon until they do
