Employer eServices single sign on to transition to OptumID

Word & Brown received the following announcement from UnitedHealthcare:

Employer eServices will be moving to OptumID in order to provide a single sign on experience to our users. This will improve system security for users and the members they service. With this new technology, one login credential can be utilized across several UnitedHealthcare websites to provide streamlined access.

All users will need to move to OptumID (OID) by Oct 31. If users do not create an OID by this date they will be unable to log into Employer eServices. Registration will be quick and easy, and assistance will be available if needed.

Users will receive the following email notifications beginning in August:

  • New user gets a “welcome” letter sent automatically after they register
  • Invite letter for existing users to create OID and connect their EeS ID
  • Reminder letters- targeted to those who had not yet migrated will be sent periodically
  • Final letter- explaining they need to migrate by October 31 or they will not be able to log into EeS
