In most situations, additional licensing is not required on your part for the products listed above, since many agents have a state license that allows them to sell Health, Accident, and Life coverage. If you are a Life-Only agent in California, you do need to earn an Accident and Health Agent license to sell medical and related insurance products. If you are in Nevada, a producer license is sufficient to sell most of the products above, so long as you have earned the appropriate education hours. Be sure to consult your regulatory authority for confirmation.

Workers’ Compensation Insurance typically does require a separate Property & Casualty (P+C) license and appointment; however, if you refer a current client to CompNet Insurance Solutions, Inc. for Workers’ Comp coverage, you do not need a P+C license since you are paid a referral fee rather than a commission on any resulting sale. (Your customers will only be solicited by CompNet for Workers’ Comp; your business is 100% protected.) Call 1-833-266-7638 or send an email to info@compnet-insurance.com for details.

Don’t risk losing a sale to another broker, or having your client switch to another agency because it offers more types of coverage under one roof. Talk with your Word & Brown representative or contact your nearest Word & Brown office in California or Nevada about how we can help you earn more – and build a stronger relationship with your clients. Bundling can benefit you, your clients, and their employees.
