Word & Brown has integrated its WBQuote technology with the CaliforniaChoice small business private exchange online enrollment (OLE) platform. The new application program interface streamlines the Small Group medical plan enrollment process for employers and brokers across California.
Brokers using Word & Brown’s quoting engine, WBQuote, can now start a CaliforniaChoice online enrollment with just a click of a button. Information from the quote is transferred directly into the CaliforniaChoice online enrollment platform. The integration helps brokers by reducing the need to re-enter information during online enrollment, helping simplify the entire enrollment process.

Scott recently co-hosted a webinar to highlight the functionality of the new technology with Rebecca King, CaliforniaChoice Technical Compliance Manager. The two discussed the buzz around online enrollment and the benefits offered to brokers, including the potential to earn more commission. CaliforniaChoice reports some brokers have seen a 10 percent increase in dependent enrollments for groups using OLE (versus paper), because it offers them instant access to plan comparisons.
Online enrollment also gives brokers and employers insight into an active enrollment and highlights those employees who have completed their benefits selection and which employees have not. It helps solve for missing information by requiring specific employee input before completing an enrollment, helping expedite the case approval process.
