The Word & Brown Companies (the parent company of Word & Brown General Agency) recently donated 20,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) masks to St. Joseph Hospital Orange. The masks will support the physicians, nurses, staff, and visitors at one of the largest and busiest hospitals in Orange County.
“We are passionate about making a difference in our community,” said Jessica Word, president of the Word & Brown General Agency and the executive who spearheaded the PPE contribution. “We believe this donation of masks is an extension of our mission to help others and to make health care and health insurance more accessible to Californians. It’s even more personal for our employees and our organization because St. Joseph Hospital is our neighbor – our offices are just blocks away in Orange.”
“We are grateful for The Word & Brown Companies’ incredible donation of 20,000 masks to St. Joseph Hospital Foundation,” noted Amy Daugherty, Chief Philanthropy Officer at St. Joseph Hospital Orange. “We continue to be inspired by the support of our community whose willingness to help their fellow neighbor seems never ending. These acts of kindness and generosity help to sustain all of us as we move forward together during this unprecedented time.”
In addition to the donation of masks to St. Joseph Hospital, the Word & Brown Companies have distributed 25,000 masks to employees and family members of employees in Orange County and across the country. An added 5,000 masks have been distributed to regional offices to donate to local communities throughout California and Nevada.
